Learn moreWhat a Voice Services engagement covers
Single number reach
One business number that follows the user across desk phone, softphone and mobile, so a customer calling a published line reaches a person rather than voicemail.
Toll-free and local presence
Toll-free numbers and city-specific local lines provisioned for the regions you sell into, with call routing rules tied to hours and teams.
SIP trunking
Trunk capacity for your existing PBX or contact centre platform, with channel counts and codec policy sized to concurrent call volume.
PRI and legacy continuity
PRI lines maintained where the on-premise PBX is not being replaced yet, delivered alongside the SIP path so migration can happen on your timetable.
Call detail and routing control
Per-extension call records, number portability, and routing changes you can request without a hardware visit.
The operating model behind the technology
Numbering and portability audit
Existing numbers, contracts and porting constraints are documented first, because number portability has hard deadlines that are easy to miss.
Voice quality engineering
Codec choice, jitter budget and QoS marking are designed end to end. Toll-quality voice is an engineering outcome, not a tariff line.
Redundant call paths
Trunks and session border controllers are deployed so a single provider or link failure does not take the main business number off the air.
Migration without downtime
Parallel running and staged cutover keep the published number answering throughout the transition, with the rollback path agreed beforehand.
Questions buyers actually ask
Can we keep our existing numbers?
In most cases yes, through porting. We check the current provider and contract terms first, because porting windows and early-termination charges both affect the plan.
Do we have to replace our PBX?
No. SIP trunking works with most modern PBXs, so you can keep the on-premise platform and move only the lines. Replacement can follow later if you decide it makes sense.
What happens if the internet link fails?
Calls can be rerouted automatically to mobiles or a secondary site, and trunks are provisioned over diverse paths. The failover behaviour is defined and tested before go-live.
Is call recording available?
Yes, with storage and retention configured to your policy. Where recording is a regulatory obligation we align it to the framework you are audited against.
Can voice run over the same circuit as data?
It can, provided QoS is configured and the circuit has headroom. Where it does not, we will say so rather than let calls degrade during peak business hours.
How is voice priced?
Quote-only, from a channel count and site count. SIP trunk capacity, number ranges and the managed service are quoted as separate lines, so the cost of each part of the estate stays visible.
What is the migration path off PRI?
The SIP path runs in parallel with the existing PRI. A pilot group moves across first, then number ranges migrate in batches with forwarding in place, so no published number goes dark during cutover.
How are emergency calling requirements handled?
Emergency call routing is configured and tested per site, and the registered location for each user is kept current, so dispatch receives the correct address rather than a head office default.
Can numbers be ported from another provider?
Yes. Number porting is handled with the losing carrier under the regulator process, and the existing number stays live until the port completes, so inbound calls are never interrupted during the transfer.
