Compute, Storage & Managed Kubernetes

The building blocks your applications actually need — flexible VMs, block/object/file storage, managed databases, and a Kubernetes control plane we operate so you deploy containers. All wired together with consistent networking and one observability layer, so you build software instead of babysitting infrastructure.

Overview

Every cloud deployment rests on the same primitives — compute, storage, databases, and container orchestration. Most teams waste weeks assembling, tuning, and troubleshooting them manually. Compute, Storage, and Managed Kubernetes provides the infrastructure layer as a managed service. Virtual machines, block and object storage, managed databases, and Kubernetes clusters are provisioned, patched, scaled, and backed up by our operations team. Your engineers write applications; we keep the underlying platform healthy, current, and cost-optimised.

Clevertek scopes every engagement to your environment — capacity, sites, compliance and support model — so you get a tailored plan rather than a fixed SKU. Pricing is quote-only, and our solutions architects will work through your requirements before any proposal.

What we do

Our approach

We provision and operate the full compute and storage stack across your cloud environment. Right-sized virtual machines with auto-scaling groups, tiered block and object storage with lifecycle policies, managed database instances with automated backups and failover, and production-grade Kubernetes clusters with the control plane operated by us. Every resource is defined as code, monitored against performance and cost baselines, and patched on a defined cycle. Kubernetes clusters include node auto-scaling, cluster auto-upgrades, integrated container registry, and ingress controller configuration. We manage the operational burden of the infrastructure layer so your team treats compute, storage, and Kubernetes as consumable services rather than projects to maintain.

Why Clevertek

Why work with us

Managed infrastructure as a service

VMs, storage, databases, and Kubernetes provisioned and operated by our team — your engineers get consumable infrastructure without managing the underlying platform.

Right-sized from day one

Compute instances and storage tiers sized to workload requirements based on utilisation data, not default templates. Oversized resources that waste budget are identified and right-sized proactively.

Automated patching and lifecycle management

OS patching, database engine upgrades, and Kubernetes version updates are handled on a defined cycle with staged rollouts and rollback readiness. No surprise downtime from unpatched vulnerabilities or expired support.

Cost-optimised by design

Spot and reserved instance integration for compute, lifecycle policies for storage, and cluster rightsizing for Kubernetes reduce spend without compromising performance.

Kubernetes without the control plane burden

Managed Kubernetes clusters with the control plane operated by us — node upgrades, cluster auto-scaling, and CNI configuration are handled by the platform team.

Integrated monitoring and observability

Every resource — VM, database, storage volume, Kubernetes node and pod — is monitored against performance, capacity, and cost baselines. Dashboards and alerts are configured from launch.

Benefits

Key benefits

What this solution delivers for your business.

Accelerated application delivery

Infrastructure is provisioned in minutes through automated pipelines instead of days through manual setup. Development teams get compute, storage, and database resources on demand.

Reduced infrastructure operations overhead

Patching, scaling, backup, and monitoring are handled by the managed service. Your team does not carry pagers for infrastructure failures or spend time on routine maintenance.

Consistent, repeatable environments

Infrastructure as code ensures every environment — dev, staging, production — is identical. Environment-specific bugs caused by configuration drift are eliminated.

Cost visibility and optimisation

Resource utilisation is monitored and right-sized continuously. Idle compute, over-provisioned storage, and underutilised Kubernetes nodes are identified and remediated within the monthly cost review.

Built-in resilience and disaster recovery

Multi-AZ deployment for compute and databases, automated backups with cross-region copies, and Kubernetes pod anti-affinity ensure workload resilience without manual configuration.

Where it helps

Real-world scenarios where this solution delivers measurable outcomes.

Startup scaling without infrastructure team overhead

Provision and operate the full compute and storage stack as a managed service — VMs, databases, object storage, and Kubernetes. The engineering team ships features while the platform team keeps the infrastructure healthy and cost-optimised.

Enterprise Kubernetes adoption without operational burden

Deploy production-grade Kubernetes clusters with managed control planes, automated upgrades, and integrated monitoring — your platform team designs the workloads, and we run the clusters.

Database-heavy application with managed failover

Run managed PostgreSQL or MySQL databases with multi-AZ failover, automated backups, and performance monitoring. Database failover is automatic and application connections are redirected without manual intervention.

Multi-environment application lifecycle

Dev, staging, and production environments provisioned through the same infrastructure-as-code pipeline with identical configurations. Environment-specific bugs from configuration drift are eliminated.

Questions buyers actually ask

Is managed Kubernetes less flexible than self-managed?

Your team retains full control over workload definitions, namespace configuration, RBAC, and application deployment. What is managed is the control plane — upgrades, scaling, and CNI configuration — which removes operational toil without reducing flexibility.

Do we have to use all the services together?

No. Each component — VMs, storage, databases, Kubernetes — is available independently. Use the services that match your workload architecture; there is no requirement to use the full stack.

How do you handle database failover?

Managed databases are deployed with multi-AZ replicas and automatic failover. The standby replica is promoted automatically when the primary fails, with DNS-based connection routing. RPO is near-zero for synchronous replication; RTO is under 60 seconds.

How is cost managed across these services?

Every resource is tagged with environment, workload, and cost-centre metadata. Monthly cost reviews surface idle resources, oversized instances, and underutilised Kubernetes nodes. Rightsizing recommendations are implemented through the infrastructure pipeline with change management approval.

Can you support our existing Kubernetes workloads?

Yes. Existing clusters can be onboarded into the managed operations framework. Monitoring, patching, backup, and cost management are applied to clusters we take over as well as clusters we provision.
